Hilda Boswell's Treasury of Nursery Rhymes was the first nursery rhyme book I had as a child. I must have been given it when I was about two as it has always been a part of my life. Even before I could read I would sit up in bed and look at these wonderful illustrations and spot all the little fairies and creatures hidden away in the pictures. Over the years my own copy disintegrated , got held together with sellotape, in fact now it is just a collection of loose pages. So I bought another copy second-hand. It's a book that I can't be without and from stories I've been told, many people feel the same way.
